Swim Baits

Swim BaitsThese are large, very detailed baits that come in a variety of colours, sizes and shapes. Swim baits often replicate actually baitfish patterns. Blue gill, perch, walleye pike and bass patterns are all very common.

Match the species of forage and even predator species in your target lake to colour of swim bait you choose. These baits can be worked throughout the water column especially deep where the trophy fish live. A slow methodical retrieve is best but always try a few casts with a quick retrieve to try and entice aggressive strikes.
