Football Jigs
As the name suggests the head shape of these jigs is that of a football
but the lead forms the football perpendicular to the hook shank. These
style of jig heads excel when fishing snaggy cover like rocks or gravel
as the increased width of the lead helps deflect off of the cover. The
same features as the Ball Jig apply and common trailers are grubs,
spider grubs or even minnow style plastics when fishing mid to deeper
waters.
